In 2003 May de Lencquesaing, the then owner of Chateau Pichon Longville Comtesse de Lalande, purchased land on the historic Simonsberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, South Africa. This piece of land was originally granted by Simon van der Stel in 1682, and tod | ay is the home of Glennelly Estate, a thriving winery that best utilizes the soils and microclimate of the Stellenbosch valley to produce world renowned classical wines.
