At the foot of the Vogeser mountains between Strasbourg and Colmar in France lies Alsace. Not only is this beautiful mountain area, with its old, pretty wine towns, as taken out of a fairy tale, but also the Alsace wines are an experience in itself. Alsace wine is always bottled in the district in high, slim bottles, which correspond to the elegant character of the Alsace wines. In Alsace, Appellation Contrôlée does not refer to a geographical area but to the grape variety - and Riesling is one of the most common ones. This wine is produced from 100% Riesling grapes. It is an elegant and refined white wine with a delicate, flowery aroma, wonderful fresh and dry taste of grapes as well as a pleasant aftertaste. The wine is particularly suitable as an aperitif, for fish courses as well as most starters.
