This has a very pure nose, lifted, the dark and glossy fruits nicely reined in by a perfumed, white-stone mineral freshness. Really charming aromatics here, and on the palate this translates into a very supple and fresh character, with grippy black bean, damson, and black cherry fruit, as well as curranty richness and concentration, backed up by a bed of ripe, grippy but appropriate tannin, and the fresh acidity of the vintage. The fruit character is correct, the structure robust but balanced, and this has a promising future. A really super limestone bite here, fresh and also substantial, with a convincing length.
