Tomintoul Distillery, built in 1965 within the picturesque Cairngorms National Park, situated in the Highlands of Scotland. The high altitude, fresh mountain air and spring water combine to create a sweet and complex single malt. The freezing conditions | in the winter mean that the Cairngorms is one of the few places out with the Arctic where areas of tundra exist. Cold and windy with sub-zero temperatures in the winter lead to a burst of life in the summer, with wild flowers and animals flourishing in th | is unique landscape. Tomintoul Tundra was born in this challenging environment. It is an elegant, balanced and creamy single malt, matured entirely in American oak bourbon barrels.
